Bringing your dream home to life is as easy as its ever been with Quicksilver Homes. That’s why we break our process down into 4 simple, understandable steps that ensure a hassle-free journey through your new front door!
While the length of our process varies from client to client, most projects are completed between 3 to 12 months, depending on various factors including home size, customization, weather, inspections, home production, permits, and construction. But no matter how long the process takes, the outcome is the same – you’ll end up falling asleep at night in a home that you customized yourself.

Planning
As with anything in life, planning makes perfect – and the first step is undoubtedly the most important. Your new home’s location will determine how much you can expect to pay, not to mention what options are available to you. Here are a few factors to consider:
- Is the location a mobile home park? If so, make sure the maximum space dimensions are known for the designated space.
- Is the location vacant land? If so, make sure the property terrain and zoning properly allows for manufactured home installation.
- Will the home be a second dwelling on a property with a primary home already? You’ll need to determine the maximum permitted size for a secondary dwelling from the county/city.
Customizing
While refining your dream home is fun, it can also be hard. Every aspect must be reviewed carefully, to ensure that everything you need will be included in your living space for years to come! Fortunately, Quicksilver Homes makes the process easy and reassuring – helping you personalize every corner of your home with confidence and conviction. We’ll walkthrough all of the following steps with you during this step.
- Choose a floorplan and customize it to meet your desired home layout and specifications.
- Select the home design, material samples, upgrade options, and color palettes to personalize your home and make it your own.
- Confirm correct square footage and dimensions to align with the site location requirements as outlined in the first planning step.
Financing, Permits, & Site Prep
This is the least fun part, as most people dread the paperwork, technical jargon, and legal headaches. But, with Quicksilver Homes in your corner, we promise to make this phase as quick and painless as possible. It’s what we’re trained for.
- At this point in the process, Quicksilver Homes will require a deposit to confirm your intent in moving forward with the home purchase, while also locking in the price of your home. This deposit is fully refundable, and will be deposited into an escrow account for the duration of the home project.
- If necessary, Quicksilver Homes will also help you organize any financing to support your home purchase. Dependent on various factors, specific lenders will be better suited for certain clients/projects than others. The right lender for your situation depends on factors like the type of foundation, the size of your down payment, your credit score, whether the home is going in a park or on private property, whether permit and site preparation costs will need to be rolled into the loan, etc.
- Speaking of permits, we can help you get them through the state or local building department! We know how difficult, expensive, and time-consuming it can be to pull permits – in some local jurisdictions more than others – but we have the right experience to simplify the process and provide guidance where necessary.
- Any required site preparation will need to be completed before the home can be placed at the final site location. Permits must be in place, utilities will need to be installed and made available by service providers, and any preliminary grading and foundation work will need to be accomplished before the home order can be submitted to the factory.
Building
Paperwork? Check. Permit? Check. Excited? Check! The next step is to submit the order to build your manufactured home, and then it will be transported to the final site location for set-up/installation construction after that. We know it’ll be hard to sleep knowing your new home is being built, but once you get the keys, we promise that it will be worth the wait!
- We meticulously go through every detail of your home project to ensure all requirements are inline and have been satisfied. From financing, permits, and site prep, we’ll carefully confirm that everything is in place for a smooth home build, transport, and installation construction process.
- Together, we’ll review your home order in great detail to make sure all specs, dimensions, options, upgrades, and colors are accounted for in your new home.
- We will then coordinate with the factory closely to ensure your home is built according to your requirements and fully complies with your home order.
- How long will it take? The road from order to delivery usually takes around 4-6 months. The length of this phase also depends on other project elements to include the factory’s production backlog. Building a new home does take time, but trust us when we say that it will be worth it when everything is completed.
- Once the home is transported from the factory to the site location, it will then be placed on its foundation and joined together. Once the home is installed, all utilities will then be connected, tape and texture will be finalized, and the flooring will be laid across the house.
- Once construction is completed, we will perform a home walkthrough with you to ensure everything is inline with your standards. If anything is wrong, we will make it right, by ensuring the issue is corrected.
- Once the final sign-off has been collected from the customer, a final inspection will then be ordered from the city/county. After the property complies with all building codes and passes inspection, the occupancy certificate will be issued, and then it's time to celebrate because it will be time for you to receive the keys to your brand new home!
